Kingdom Come

Kingdom Come was a four-issue comic book limited series published in 1996 by DC Comics. It was written by Mark Waid and painted in gouache by Alex Ross, who also developed the concept from an original idea. Set some 20 years into the future of the current DC Universe, it deals with a growing conflict between "traditional" superheroes, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Justice League, and a growing population of largely amoral and dangerously irresponsible new vigilantes. Between these two groups is Batman and his assembled team, who attempt to contain the escalating disaster, foil the machinations of Lex Luthor, and prevent a world-ending superhuman war.

The prologue to the Annihilation event, written by Keith Giffen with art by Scott Kolins, depicts Thanos of Titan at the edge of the universe and his conversation with Death, who reveals that "Something Wonderful" is about to happen.

Death appears to be referring to the coming of a massive insectoid military force (the Annihilation Wave) through the expanding edge of the universe known as "The Crunch," which immediately sets to the destruction of the Kyln structures — artificial moons that serve as both galaxy-wide power generators and a death-row prison — that orbit the Crunch. The emergence of this force and the destruction of the Kyln are referred to in captions as "Annihilation Day."

The Annihilation Wave cuts a swath to the planet of Xandar, where it quickly destroys the planet's surface and wipes out all of the Nova Corps, leaving Richard Rider as the organization's only survivor.

The Prologue also shows the arrest of the Kree Ronan the Accuser in the midst of his duties; the Silver Surfer's realization of something being amiss; and the Super-Skrull in hiding on a Kree starbase. These segments serve as starting points for the four Annihilation mini-series.

On the one-shot's final page, the leader of the Annihilation Wave, and potentially the overall villain of the Annihilation story, is revealed to be Fantastic Four foe Annihilus.

The Titan Thanos, desperate to win Death's affections, decides to offer her a gift of love by erasing half the sentient life in the universe. The surviving heroes on Earth band together, and guided by a newly-resurrected hero Adam Warlock, almost defeat Thanos. He then goes on to imprison the cosmic pantheon - consisting of Galactus; the Stranger; the Titan Chronos; the entities Love and Hate; two Celestials and Eternity - before losing the Gauntlet in a moment of carelessness to the villainess Nebula. After another battle with the heroes and the cosmic pantheon (as Nebula inadvertently undoes their defeat) Nebula loses the Gauntlet to Adam Warlock. A humiliated Thanos then appears to commit suicide by detonating a bomb rather than be taken prisoner but in fact has retreated to contemplate his loss.

Thanos Quest

Gazing into the depths of Death's Infinity Well, Thanos realizes how to achieve his goal of pleasing Death - by capturing the six Infinity Gems and using them in their proper manner. Using a special chair for travel, he succeeds in breaking out the In-Betweener from his prison (who was being punished by Lord Chaos and Master Order). As a token of "thanks," the In-Betweener attempts to use his vast and immeasurable powers to destroy Thanos. Thanos points out to the In-Betweener that their current location is at a point in between everything, and as such, it is the one place in all realities where the In-Betweener's powers don't function. Thanos reveals that he is, for reasons currently unknown, one of a select few creatures that are outside the realm of both Chaos and Order (an "ability" similar to that of Adam Warlock) and as such, is "invisible" to them....but that Lord Chaos and Master Order are on their way to punish the In-Betweener for "his" prison break. Thanos claims the Soul Gem from the powerless In-Betweener and teleports away before the two Cosmic Powers arrive to punish the In-Betweener for attempting to escape his prison.

Infinity Gauntlet

The Infinity Gauntlet is a six-issue limited series, written by Jim Starlin and pencilled by George Perez and Ron Lim, and published by Marvel Comics group in 1991. In the series, Thanos uses his new power to kill half of the living beings in the Universe in an attempt to please Death. In response, many of the most powerful superheroes unite to battle Thanos for control over the Gauntlet and the Universe. Fortunately, Thanos is finally defeated by Adam Warlock, and Warlock himself becomes temporary wielder of the Gauntlet and its power. In the aftermath, the Living Tribunal decides that the Infinity Gauntlet is too powerful an item in the hands of Adam Warlock, who is clearly not of a sound mind (due to his decision to expel both Good and Evil from his being in order to become a "perfect" God) and unable to handle the powers granted by the Infinity Gauntlet: he acts violently against the court of the Living Tribunal, behaving unfit for one in his station. Therefore, the Living Tribunal uses their powers to make the gems unable to function together, preventing anyone from achieving omnipotence by possessing all of the Gems, and the Infinity Gems are once again separated and given to six different bearers, forming the new Infinity Watch. (It is revealed within the pages of the series Warlock and the Infinity Watch that the Living Tribunal has command of even more power than the wielder of the Infinity Gauntlet; he reverses one of Adam Warlock's godly outbursts with but a thought; earlier, in The Infinity Gauntlet, the Tribunal implied that the only reason that he didn't interfere with Thanos' possession of the Gauntlet was because Thanos didn't seek to upset the Universal Balance.)

Infinity War

The Magus developed a highly intricate scheme in order to gain absolute power over the Marvel Universe. The Magus operated out of a far reality, where he acquired "cosmic containment units", items similar to the Cosmic Cube, along with demonic doppelgangers of Earth's heroes and villains. The Magus' power rendered Eternity catatonic and kept himself well hidden. After a confrontation with Magus, Thanos sought help from Warlock's Infinity Watch.

The Magus sent doppelgangers after some of Earth's heroes. Reed Richards and Iron Man were defeated and replaced. Reed's double assembled many of Earth's heroes, intending to destroy them with a large bomb. His plan failed, thanks to the heightened senses of Wolverine and Daredevil, as well as Invisible Woman's force fields. Another confrontation with Thanos led to further confusion and general chaos.

The heroes decided to split their forces, with a team remaining on Earth while another team traveled the far reaches of space and time. The Earth team were again attacked by doppelgangers, some of whom were subsumed or taken over. The traveling heroes fought with Thanos and the Infinity Watch.

Infinity Crusade

The story of Infinity Crusade starts with the Goddess gathering 30 Cosmic Containment Units and merging them into the Cosmic Egg, an artifact capable of fulfilling her wishes. The Goddess uses the Cosmic Egg to create a planet, Paradise Omega, as her base of operations. The Goddess then recruited many superheroes to her side. The heroes she chose were either religious, spiritual or had a (near-)death experience. The Goddess told the heroes that she wished to banish all evil from the universe and that the heroes needed to defend her while she was meditating within the Cosmic Egg. The heroes swore allegiance to the Goddess, some seemingly brainwashed, though a few heroes had their doubts. Moondragon became the leader of the Goddess' troops.

Thanos series parte 1

Thanos is born on Titan, a moon of the planet Saturn. Due to a genetic quirk Thanos is born with the Deviant gene and as such resembles the Deviants - the Eternals' cousin race - more than his own people.

Although treated fairly by his race, Thanos is mindful of his appearance and becomes distant, only keeping company with his brother Eros. Thanos matures to adulthood, and via the use of bionics and mysticism augments his abilities to easily become the most powerful of the Titanian-born Eternals.

Bitter at being an outsider, Thanos becomes fascinated with nihilism and then embarks on his quest to "please" death, and begins by conducting a nuclear bombardment of Titan that kills millions of his race. Thanos' mother is thought to have died during the bombardment, but years later it is discovered that he kidnaps and then dissects her.[2] He later travels to Earth, and prior to landing his vessel destroys a nearby car to prevent anyone from becoming aware of his existence. Unknown to Thanos, two of the family members in the vehicle survive - the father's spirit is preserved by the Titanian cosmic entity Chronos and is given a new form as Drax the Destroyer while the daughter is found by Thanos' father Mentor and is raised to become Moondragon

Thanos: Samaritan series parte 2

The Samaritan storyline has Thanos travelling to the edge of the universe ... but we're not sure why. It's clear that this is a pilgrimage, but to what end remains unceratin. Giffen returns the element of mystery and suspense to Thanos which had been notably lacking in Starlin's later stories, and thereby provides some actual suspense to the drama. More, Giffen introduces some new characters (the Fallen One), as well as bring backs some older ones (Skreets, Starlord, Gladiator), in an attempt to develop a supporting cast for Thanos. It's an interesting and engaging mix, which may not satisfy hardcore Starlin fans, but is nevertheless satisfying in and of itself.

En el numero 655 (sino me equivoco), agarra Grant Morrison (un fenomeno) los guiones de Batman y aparece Damian, quien seria el hijo de Batman y Talia (la hija de Ra's al Ghul), aparentemente sacado del encuentro que se da en Son of the Demon.
Le deja al pendejo para que lo entrene y lo moldee, pero es medio arrogante y bastante selocito con robin (tim) a quien le da una paliza. Se lo termina quedando Talia y recien vuelve a aparecer en el numero 666, calculo que en numeros posteriores apaecera de nuevo. Lo importante es que si es hijo de Bruce, no es ningun engaño, ni ningun futuro loco o elseworld

Batman: The Killing Joke is a one-shot superhero comic book written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland, published by DC Comics in 1988.
The plot revolves around a largely psychological battle between Batman and his longtime foe, the Joker, who has escaped from Arkham Asylum. The Joker intends to drive James Gordon, the Police Commissioner of Gotham City, insane, in order to prove that the most upstanding citizen is capable of going mad after having “one bad day.” Along the way, the Joker has flashbacks to his early life, gradually explaining his origin.

Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth is a graphic novel written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dave McKean. It was originally published in the United States, in both hardcover and softcover editions, by DC Comics in 1989. The subtitle is taken from line 55 of the poem “Church Going”, by Philip Larkin.

The book was one of DC Comics first original graphic novels to feature Batman and when released in 1989, it sold so well it quickly became DC’s best selling original graphic novel, a title it held for many years.

The book is notable for both McKean’s typical blend of painting, collage, and ink drawings and Morrison’s exploration of various mystic ideas, including the symbiosis between Batman and the criminals he captured and recaptured. Various threads of symbolism used by Morrison include the works of Lewis Carroll, the Christian Mystery Plays, the psychology of Carl Jung and the works of Joseph Campbell.
